We’re thrilled that nationally renowned FOIA experts Matthew Hoppock, David Cleveland, and Jay Gairson have agreed to present to our Chapter on getting the most out of the FOIA process and working successfully with the many agencies from whom we immigration lawyers request records: OBIM, EOIR, USCIS, CBP, DOS, and more!

Our presenters will shed light on some of the trickiest FOIA questions, such as challenging the use of the deliberative privilege exception, how to get unredacted Assessments to Refer from the Asylum Office, and how they’ve used litigation to get records for their clients when the FOIA process broke down.
