In response to the July 6, 2020 ICE/SEVP Announcement concerning F-1/M-1 International Students enrolled in academic institutions with online only instruction during the Fall 2020 Term, the AILA MN/Dakotas Chapter is hosting a roundtable discussion with attorneys, DSO’s and other impacted stakeholders.
This discussion will begin with a brief 15-20 minute summary of the ICE/SEVP Announcement and updates regarding litigation by Harvard and MIT challenging the announcement, followed by a facilitated discussion among attendees of common questions and concerns raised by this change. The discussion is also intended as a forum allowing for the sharing of ideas and planning strategies to ensure F-1/M-1 students are able to maintain status and preparing for “worst case scenarios.”
